Harbor Breeze Riverview Ceiling Fan

Harbor Breeze Riverview 36-in White Indoor Ceiling Fan with Light Kit Included

The Harbor Breeze Riverview Ceiling Fan has a 36 inch blade span and comes with a light kit included. The fan comes with a downrod and it capable of mounting that way only – it cannot be flush mounted. This is something important to keep in mind. Why is that? Well, typically when you have a fan with a smaller blade span like this it can be used in a smaller room (and it likely should be). However, due to the fact that it has that smaller blade span, you often may want to mount it flush mount because your room is smaller, less ceiling height, etc. So a flush mount option would make sense. However, this fan does not mount directly to the ceiling. It has to be mounted with the 4 inch down rod. Thus, you’ll want to mount it to a flat ceiling or a sloped ceiling with 16 degree max slope.

The fan does feature an integrated dome light kit, with a frosted white globe. The light kit also comes with two 60 watt candelabra bulbs so you’re all ready to go, right out of the box. The built in light kit is a nice touch because with the smaller blade span, the fan would be really less functional without a light kit. The blades are reversible, and the fan of course will reverse so there is purpose to use it all year throughout both the warm and cold seasons.

On another note, we should let you know that the Harbor Breeze Riverview ceiling fan is discontinued. This was a choice by the manufacturer (not us) and we don’t know when the fan was discontinued specifically. It’s likely a much older model. This is important to note also if you’re trying to get replacement parts support for this fan – you will likely have to reach out to Harbor Breeze customer support, because we aren’t able to obtain parts for it. If you do find a place that you’re able to find parts for the Harbor Breeze Riverview, please let us know and we’ll be happy to let our other site visitors know. Harbor Breeze Coastal Creek Ceiling Fan Review

The Harbor Breeze Coastal Creek ceiling fan is a 52 inch fan with five blades that are reversible. The finish is a bronze and the blade color is brown. A sleek and attractive fan, it has a frosted glass bowl design. The three speed motor coupled with the 52 inch blades provide good airflow in the room you choose. Due to the larger blade size of 52 inches, the fan works well in a larger room setting. The fan also comes with 2 LED bulbs, so you’re good to go right out of the box in terms of maximizing not only airflow efficiency but also lighting efficiency in your home. Good idea!

The blade finish is of a toffee/cocoa, which is really appealing to many home owners. The airflow total is approximately 3116 CFM, so as mentioned above it can move air around pretty well. The fan needs to be mounted a minimum of 16.1 inches from the floor. As mentioned it works well in large rooms, so this room size is generally about 400 square feet. If you have a much larger room then that, you’ll have to go up in terms of blade span. As with all Harbor Breeze fans, the Coastal Creek carries a limited lifetime warranty. The fan can be mounted both with the standard down rod, as well as “close mount” meaning that it can be flush mounted to the ceiling. However, due to the blade size we don’t recommend trying to use it in rooms with low ceilings – see the height requirement above.

Harbor Breeze Mayfield Ceiling Fan Review

The Harbor Breeze Mayfield Ceiling Fan has a bronze finish, which is warm and goes with many décor settings quite well. The Mayfield has a hugger design, so it can be mounted to a ceiling with a lower height. This is great if you want to install into a room where the ceiling height is low. Not all rooms have high ceilings. Especially if you have an older house, or a basement with a lower ceiling, this fan is helpful in those situations. The Mayfield features a light kit in the center, as you see in the picture. The light kit utilizes 2 x 6.5 watt LED light bulbs. Due to using LEDs, the bulbs last a very long time and don’t need to be replaced often at all – plus they are energy efficient. The LED bulbs provide a soft light.

One thing to note with the Mayfield fan: it can only be installed flush mount. This is important if you wanted to mount it with a downrod: it does not come with one, so please keep in mind it’s flush mount only. The Mayfield also carries a dry rating. This means it can’t be installed in places that are damp. So if you are looking to install a ceiling fan into a kitchen, bathroom, or outside, this is not the fan to use. We don’t mean to share any negative points; moreso this is important to keep in mind in terms of installation procedures and use case.

The light kit, as discussed offers a warm light. It is rated at 900 lumens so the light is soft and warm, as opposed to “hard” lights you may find with incandescent. The fan has reversible blades as well, so it has the option to cool in the summer and move warm air in the winter. The fan has pull chains. This fan may not come with a remote as such – another thing to keep in mind.

A site visitor recently asked about a Harbor Breeze Centreville fan,
model 40687. The visitor said they were planning to remove the light kit
from the fan. In order to do so, they were looking for a light kit deletion
pane. This is basically a cover that gets installed, so it covers up
the area where the light kit used to be. Otherwise, if you don’t have a cover,
what you see is an exposed pull chain assembly.

Obviously, you don’t want a gaping hole where you removed the cover.
With that being said, we’ve looked for a cover, or light kit deletion pane
for Harbor Breeze model 40687. What we came up with is that we are unable
to locate or source this part.

Harbor Breeze Seaholme Ceiling Fan

The Seaholme has a very “diftwood” kind of feel. Much like the name “Seaholme,” the fan makes you feel as if you’re out there on a boat. It would work well mounted on a ship in this regard, in terms of the decor. The fan has a grayish finish completed with brushed nickel for the canopy and base. This is the perfect fan for the boating enthusiast. With that being said, it may not go well in certain decor choices like a darker decor, as an example, as the fan is quite light in nature. It may go well with a modern design, if that design uses brighter colors as opposed to darker ones.

Harbor Breeze Saratoga II Ceiling Fan Review

The Saratoga Ceiling Fan features hand-carved wood blades, in an auburn finish. The fan is sleek and with it’s somewhat darker décor, it works quite well in a rustic setting, modern setting or other. The Saratoga comes equipped with a light kit, which has two dimmable LED bulbs. The light kit is accentuated with a glass globe.

CFM of this fan is 6,372. That’s a lot. The blades are 60 inch making this fan quite large. It’s ideal for large rooms, like dining halls. You don’t want to put this fan in a small room as it just won’t make sense. The fan does have the ability to cool in the summer and move warm air in the winter.

A cool feature of this fan is it has a learning feature on the remote. This means that if the remote control stops working with the receiver at any point, you can follow a process for the remote to “learn.” This can be a common problem with ceiling fans, an this makes that common problem not a problem! That is great, because you certainly won’t want to lose the ability to make a fan with 60 inch blades stop spinning just out of the blue. A very useful feature for a large fan that moves a lot of air. The fan also includes a manual air flow switch, to manually reverse the direction of the fan as needed.

This fan cannot mount without the down rod; being as large as it is. It is not a good choice for low ceilings. But it is a great choice for large rooms, and when you have a requirement to move a lot of air around in the room!

Harbor Breeze Merrimack II Ceiling Fan

The Harbor Breeze Merrimack II ceiling fan can be hung flush to the ceiling. A low profile fan like this is useful, when you have lower ceilings, or just need more space. The fan does come with a 6 inch downrod also, so it can be mounted in a normal fashion or on an angled ceiling also. The fan comes with an attractive glass globe light kit. The bulbs are dimmable also. The fan does receive some praise from home owners and enthusiasts alike, as the bronze finish is sleek and stylish. The fan blades are of a driftwood and auburn finish.

The fan comes with a limited lifetime warranty. The Merrimack II can cool a large room, as it provides up to and about 3800 CFM of air flow. This is due to the large fan blades on the Merrimack – 52 inches. These larger fan blades help move a large volume of air.

Along with all of the aforementioned benefits, the Merrimack also is ETL listed. This means it is both an indoor and outdoor fan – it can be safely used in damp locations. This is an excellent addition, on top of all the other features mentioned.
